Not sure what to say?

To Gay and family, I too had the privilege of serving in the "Great" Anaheim, California mission under President Grant's leadership. I love him and Gay for their heartfelt love and example. I have many fond memories of both of you, and I am most grateful for all you did for me, Two special memories come to mind; your kind greeting at the mission home upon my arrival to serve, and President Grant personally coming to our apartment at 6:00 a.m. the day my father passed to give me the news. He...

To Gay and all your Family You have my heartfelt sympathy to you and yours. I first met Coach "Tiny" Grant in 1960 and was impressed by him and later his beautiful wife. For the next period of time I came to know him better as a coach, person and teacher. I learned many important life lessons that have helped and stayed with me past 1963 when I went in a different lifes direction (CHS class of 63). May all share Eaches special memories with others so they too can know the special...

I served with President Grant in the California Anaheim. I have fond memories of and a great love for this man. I remember playing basketball against him in the mission home on the last day of my mission. I tried to muscle him out of the key but failed miserably. He was like a large brick wall strong and unmovable. Just like his testimony I learned from him. Thank you for your influence. I will always remember this.

How we loved this man, a giant in many ways-through a friendship we have cherished these many years. We send our love and condolences to his wonderful wife and family. Ken and Jean Brown

Tiny recruited me out of high school to play football at Ricks (1968). That next summer, he drove from Rexburg to Boise to speak at my mission farewell. He was a wonderful, kind, witty, fun man who I highly respected. I will always have loving memories of this giant of a human being, both physically and spiritually. He had a tremendous impact on me during those formative years. I pray his beautiful wife will find comfort in his passing. Love you Coach!

Loved this great man. His influence on us and so many will live on. We love Gay and this family very much. They were good to our parents and we always enjoyed seeing them. Keep up the legacy of this giant of a man. Karla and Farrell Benson

Tiny Grant lived in my Ward in Sunset, Utah. I remember him as a great basketball player. He was six feet, five inches tall and weighed over 300 pounds. In the 1950's he played center on our church team which won the All-Church Championship. Later, he coached me for four years of C.H.S. wrestling. As big as he was, he could out sprint everyone on the high school track team. Tiny, also became a spiritual giant. What a man!

He was my coach when playing football at Ricks College-1971-72. Can remember him turning to bench several times during that ICAC Championship year and asking, "Is there anyone who has not played?" That was my new position. He was also my Bishop during that challenging period in my life. He helped me prepare for and then serve a worthy mission. Interestingly, I served in the California Anaheim Mission, the same mission he presided over a few years later in 1981-1984. Deep love for this man!!!

I served in the California Anaheim Mission office with President Grant. I loved getting to know him and Sister Grant. We had great basketball games at the mission home and some lively racketball games also. President Grant always won. I enjoyed getting calls from him to come un-jam the office copy machine. He was a great man and a great leader. I learned a lot from him. I also enjoyed Sister Grants music box carousel at the mission home. She always had some candy in it.
