Sawyer Funeral Home ChapelCharlotte Lavonne (Ingmire) Siegrist-Lloyd, 87, passed away peacefully on Oct. 26, 2025, at a senior facility in Burnsville, MN, where she had lived for nearly five years. "Vonnie" was born on Jan. 29, 1938, on a farm outside of White City, KS, to Walden and Mildred (Garr) Ingmire. She attended Garner School, a one-room schoolhouse, and was a 1956 graduate of White City High School.
Vonnie married Alvin Harvey Siegrist on Sept. 13, 1959, at the White City Methodist Church. They were blessed with three children: Kent, Ronnie, and Lori.
The family traveled with Alvin to job sites across the U.S. for his railroad work with Neosho Construction. They settled in Alta Vista near Vonnie's beloved sister, Doris McDiffett, who supported Vonnie through the heartbreaking loss of her young son, Ronnie, in 1970. The sisters supported each other's families through many trials in life with compassion and even a little humor. Always loyal fans of their children's activities, Vonnie and Doris could be seen together attending all their ballgames, music programs, art shows, church programs, and plays.
After Alvin's passing in 2004, Vonnie married Karl Lloyd on June 30, 2007, at Simpson United Methodist Church, in Alta Vista. They had many years together before Karl's passing in 2019. Vonnie cherished her grandchildren, Riley and Robbie. To then become a step-grandmother to Karl's eight grandchildren was a bonus that added so much joy to her life.
A devoted caregiver, Vonnie provided daycare for local families for nearly 25 years and later worked at the Alta Vista Library.
As an active member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Vonnie taught Sunday School, led women's groups, served on several committees, and organized and prepared countless meals. Vonnie organized blood drives and fundraised through activities such as Relay for Life. She also served on the Council Grove Area Arts Council.
Vonnie loved watching the Chiefs, Royals, and KU and K-State teams —especially college basketball.
Vonnie is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son; brother, Kenny Ingmire, and wife, Margaret Ann; sister, Doris McDiffett, and husband, Max, and long-time partner, Harold Friedli; brother-in-law, Harold Siegrist, and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Bernadine Albrecht, and husband, Leonard; brother-in-law, Zeke Siegrist, and wife, Mary Lou; and brother-in-law, Marlin (Pete) Siegrist, and wife, Deloris.
Vonnie is survived by her children: Kent Siegrist and wife, Kathy, of Laurel, MT; and Lori Bergsten and husband, Rex, of Burnsville, MN; and step-children: Tina Lloyd and husband, Jon Christensen, of Prairie Village, KS; Jill Harries and husband, Travis, of Andover, KS; and Rusty Lloyd and wife, Jami, of Grand Junction, CO. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Riley Bergsten and fiancé, Zachary Kosel; and Robert Bergsten; and step-grandchildren: Tony and Sam Christensen; Hayden and wife Jennifer, Carson, and Dylan Harries; and Elly, Gracie, and Carter Lloyd.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be Saturday, Nov. 15, with visitation at 10 a.m. and memorial service at 11 a.m. at Simpson United Methodist Church in Alta Vista. A luncheon will follow.
