I grew up with Cindy. She was my best friend in the young impressionable years. I was always inspired by her quiet strength. For some reason she popped in to my thoughts a few days ago. I remembered her, her mother and father, the basement where we "hung out" as kids and even the day when her father quietly walked down the stairs of the basement where we were listening to Frank Zappa and "The Mothers at the Fillmore East" album.
