Deborah D. (Dun) Magathan died on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at her home at the age of 63.
Born in Trenton, NJ and raised in Levittown, PA, Deborah was a 1975 graduate of Neshaminy High School. She achieved her Bachelors Degree from Gwynedd Mercy University and her Masters Degree in Special Education from Holy Family University.
Until retiring in 2012, Deborah was a dedicated Special Education teacher at Maple Point Middle School from 1996 until 2012.
She loved being at the shore, enjoying the sun, beach, boardwalk and salt air. It was her favorite place to be with her family.
A great cook, Deborah loved finding new recipes to prepare.
She was a huge animal lover and at one time had 4 dogs, a pot belly pig, an iguana, 2 turtles, 2 guinea pigs, 2 rabbits, and both a tank and a pond full of fish!
An extremely creative person, Deborah was alway coming up with great ideas. She loved giving birthday and Christmas gifts. She also loved to play board games and many games online.
A dedicated mother, nothing made her happier than her children and she was looking forward to soon becoming an OMA!
Deborah was a diehard Philly sports fan.
Beloved wife of nearly 36 years to Lawrence W. Magathan, Deborah is the loving mother of Samatha Ewald (Kyle) and Andrew Magathan.
She is the dear sister of Terry Dun (Patricia), Maureen Dun, Robert Dun (Elaine) and Carol Dun.
Deborah will also be sadly missed by her in-laws; several nieces and nephews; and extended family.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Debbie. We taught together at Maple Point until I retired in 2006. She had a smile on her face every time I saw her. R. I. P. Debbie. (Terry and Patti - I had no idea Debbie was your sister. We could have compared stories of your younger years.
