Not sure what to say?

I've known Ed Halpern for many years through various roles in various positions within the Philly Folk Fest & PFSS. He was a kind (and one of a kind) man and will be missed.

As a minor player in the Cage's colorful history, I still remember both of you fondly, as well as Al Needleman and a HOST of others...fine French onion soup, wonderful roast beef sandwiches which, if I put enough pepper on, no one else would bum! My travels have taken me far and landed me in Denver, Colorado, but my heart has remained for many years in Philly, centered at the Gilded Cage! I wish you, as always, abiding peace!

Heartfelt Condolences -- Thinking of you and remembering happy times.

There is an unofficial Philadelphia Folk Festival discussion group. I posted this 5/12/06.

Ed was a true gentleman and loved and respected by all. He and Esther have been the backbone of Folk in Philadelphia from the days at the Guilded Cage until now. He will be sorely missed.

Either you or I have misspelled G(u)ilded. Your way would refer to guilds which were very exclusive associations of artisans such as carpenters, bricklayers,...

I am sorry to hear about your loss, my condolences to ESTHER & family......

Thanks for everything. May his memory be for a blessing. What a mensch!
