POLAND - Elizabeth Modelski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 31, 2025 surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 1, 1955, in Bialystok, Poland, to Richard and Janina (Kurianczyk) Lachowski.
On June 26, 1976, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Andrew Modelski, beginning a lifelong partnership built on devotion, laughter, and faith. Together they created a home filled with warmth, love, and the joyful energy of a growing family.
Elizabeth’s life was a beautiful blend of grace, warmth, and devotion. She cherished her Polish heritage and carried its traditions with her throughout her life, no matter where her journey took her. She found joy in the simple things — tending to her garden, exploring new places through travel, and, above all, cheering for her children and grandchildren at their many sporting events. Family was always at the heart of her world.
Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew Modelski, and their five loving sons: Chris (Lisa) Modelski, Peter (Jenna) Modelski, Jack (Lisa) Modelski, Michael Modelski, and Patrick Modelski. Her greatest pride and joy were her cherished grandchildren — Alex, Drew, Dylan, Cooper, Jackson (JJ), Sophia, and Maddox — each of whom brought light and laughter to her days.
Those who knew Elizabeth will remember her for her kindness, her laughter, and the way she made every person she met feel valued and loved. Her presence filled every room with warmth, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, located at 2726 Center Rd.
