I always miss Elvira at this time of year. She would, without fail, send a Halloween card and give me an update. Ann's been keeping that tradition going! I don't think I ever told Ann but one year she sent me the exact card that Elvira had sent in years past. Always loving memories of Elvira and the entire family.

I'm very sorry to hear about Elvira's passing. We sang in choir together at St. John's back in the '90s. Really a great person to get to know. May she Rest In Peace.

Linda,Sue,Carol,Sharon,Donna,Ann,Tim and Maureen, your Mom was the best. Find comfort in that fact. You were an extremely lucky family to have someone like that raise you. I hope you find Peace knowing she was an exceptional person.

Dear Ryan clan,
I was sad to hear of your mom's passing. I have such great memories of her! I still bake the Dutch apple pie that she taught me to make. Me and my family was always welcomed so warmly into her home and there was nothing like Sunday dinners! I was talking to Pete and we agreed that she was truly a great woman, friend, neighbor, and mom. My heart goes out to you all. Much love always, Libby

Linda, Sue, Sharon, Carol, Ann, Donna, Tim, Maureen,
Your mom was just great! I consider myself very fortunate to have had your mom as one of the neighborhood moms as I was growing up down the block from you all on Indiana Avenue. Mrs. Ryan was just super to all the neighborhood kids. She took us to swimming lessons, had dozens of neighbor kids who loved to play on her lawn, and was just so kind to everyone. I'm sorry for your loss and will remember your mom very fondly forever. Tina O.

I'm so sorry that I'm out of town and won't be able to pay my respects. I have great memories of Elvira in choir and bells. In fact when I was a new mom and my husband was taking night classes, she picked up a babysitter, brought her to our house, took me to bels, then took me home and then the babysitter home! What a woman! Ann, Maureen, Linda et al, you're in my thoughts and prayers, and again, so sorry I'm going to miss you.

How greatly Elvira will be missed! If you were a friend of just one of her children, you became a part of her family. Elvira was a second "Mom" to many of us, and we will always treasure her friendship, caring and support. She left a wonderful legacy with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are all welcoming and loving people. We will miss you, Elvira!
Love,

What a wonderful person Elvira was, she will be remembered. I worked with her at Visiting Nurse Service for many years. Marj Crago
