A few years ago, Emma was a member of my Creative Writing Workshop at "Sundays at JASA". To life, to life, l'chaim? Good lord, Emma was a living testament to brimming, inquisitive, life-consuming longevity. Laughing, loving, learning, being active, and being with people - a beautiful shining example for us all. Will miss her smiling face and effortlessly indomitable spirit... always.

I met Ms. Shulman when I first started working at NYU Medical Center. She was a star. She was remarkable woman and it was a pleasure to work with her. My sympathies to her family. Hers was a life well lived.
