Dearest Evelyn, I was so sad to hear of your passing, such a young and beautiful person. I enjoyed our brief encounters at the hospital, always gentle, always a kind smile and warm laughter, never a bad thing to say about another person. I have no doubt that you are in a much better place but smile down on your family, especially your husband and children. Nudge them with your large angel wings as I know you have earned them :-) Rest easy my friend.

Hi Auntie Ev,
I'm not really good at saying goodbyes but I do want you to know how I feel, so I wrote it down.
I want to thank you for opening your heart to me. Thank you for making me feel welcome when I first met Justin. And along the way, you made me feel like you were you friend, my aunt, MY aunt too.
Thank you for opening your home, not just to me, but my family. I feel like my mom connected with you in a different way and felt like you were a friend to her too. Thank you for letting Boo Boo and Nani come hang out at your BBQs and liking them enough to get Boo Boo a small pink Hawaiian dog dress as a basalubong from your Hawaii trip years ago.
Thank you for showing me what a complete and happy family looks like in real life, because I've never really felt like I knew what it was. You have such a loving husband and smart kids. I know they know you won't want to see them cry and be sad. But to smile and remember you for all the crazy, fun and hilarious adventures you've had as a family.
Thank you for showing me what a "fun aunt" looks like. Someone that knows how to live life, take trips and make memories with your family every other year. An active Zumba going aunt, a hip and stylish aunt, a sweet aunt that you know will be there if you ever needed advice. An aunt that knows how to boogie to the song, "Freak Out!" (Because that's one of your favorite songs. Hahha). A fun aunt, that no matter what age you are, you can still drink. For always being down to drink wine, tequila and even Hennessy. Thank you for introducing me to Oreo mud pie and showing us the ice cube/fruit trick so you can put it in your champagne and make it look even fancier. Whenever I wear blue nail polish, I'll think of you and what an amazing person you are. I'm so blessed to have gotten the love you gave me and made me feel. Thank you for letting me experience a special bond with you.
Charmaine, Edith, Boo Boo and Nani love you, Auntie Ev.
