Ocala - Forrest L. "Lee" Thomasson, 76, Ocala, FL. went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2010 under the loving care of his family. Lee was born on January 13, 1934 in Mechanicsburg, Ohio to his parents Leland and Ruth Thomasson. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Thomasson was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church of Marion Oaks, and the Men's Club of St. Jude's Catholic Church. Survived by his loving wife of 54 years: Monse Thomasson of Ocala, FL.; 2 sons: Forrest Lee Thomasson, Jr. and wife Diana of Soddy Daisy, TN., Gerald Lee Thomasson of Ocala, FL.; 3 daughters: Anna Lee Ortega and husband Dimas of Pembroke Pines, FL., Melba Deautriell and husband William of Pembroke Pines, FL. and Celeste Lorenzo and husband John of Land 0 Lakes, FL.; 2 sisters Marilyn Jones of Tavares, FL. and Sandra Jo Driscoll of Titusville, FL.; 10 Grandchildren: Nicolle Deautriell, Jonathan Deautriell, Sierra Thomasson, Jessica Thomasson, Keara Lockey, Melissa Ortega, Cristina Ortega and Catheryne Lorenzo.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 1:00PM at St. Jude Catholic Church, Marion Oaks, Ocala, FL. with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ocala, FL. Visitation was held on Friday, September 24, 2010 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, Florida.

You and Uncle Tom have always and will continue to be an inspiration to all of us! The love you both shared reflects what a true marriage is all about! I want to thank you for sharing that and allowing your love to continue! Uncle Tom is in a better place that knows no pain - Praise God! Streets of gold for my Uncle, that is what he deserves!
The both of you are examples to our family and the epitome of life, love and oneness! Thank-you Titi. Uncle Tom is dearly missed but he will never be forgotten.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family of Forrest Thomasson. May God surrond you with his love and compassion during your time of need. I will miss uncle Lee"s smile, laugh, and his passion for having fun and spending time with his family. He fought a good fight, but he was tired. He will be sadly missed. RIP uncle Lee.

To the Thomasson Family,
My Prayers and thoughts go out to you all. For the little time I spent wiith him, he was always cheerful, hard worker and saw the brighter side to everything. You could always see that his family meant the world to him, from his interaction with them, to the videos we sat and watched that made him so proud. He left an impact on many people's lives and will truly be missed. I would like to share a prayer i was given when i lost a loved one and i hope it helps:

Even though I never personally met your dad, I know that he was an extremely good man that you loved very much. The stories you told about your dad and mom sounded like such fun "family" times.
