I was truly sorry to read of Gene's death and my thoughts are with all of you. I hope Gene and my Jack are together sitting on a cloud somewhere and reminiscing about their days in the AF. Gene was always enthusiastic, happy, interesting and willing to serve. He was an Officer and gentleman and I am grateful to have known him. Please know that he will be missed by many. Nancy Newell

I saw Gene as a humble but great man during the time that he and I worked together with many others when I was the Combined Federal Campaign chairman for the base back in the 1990s. He was a very accomplished man and a man of faith. I am sorry to hear he has passed and I pray the God will provide comfort to the family members who will surely miss him.
