George Berkly Branham

1941 - 2016

George Berkly Branham, 75, of Melbourne, Fla., formerly of South Rockwood, passed away on March 5th at the Viera Health and Rehab Center, where he has been a resident for the past four years with strokes and Alzheimer's.
George was born on Feb. 7, 1941 to Arthur and Bessie Marie (Jones) Branham in Dwale, Ky. He attended grade school in Ky., graduated from Airport High School in 1959.
He married Lenore H. Boike on August 20, 1960 in Taylor, Mich.
George worked for Hyway Lumber in Monroe and Montgomery Wards and Forest City in Southgate, Mich., before moving to Cleveland and Canton, Ohio. He later moved his family to Fla., then became a buyer for hardware and electronics doing imports and exports in Hong Kong. He spent many years working in China.
He enjoyed golfing, bowling, wallpapering and building cabinets.
Survivors include: his wife, Lenore, one daughter, Susan (Dave) Burch of Mo., two sons, Jeffery Branham and Christopher Branham of Melbourne; four granddaughters Ashleigh (Michael) Haub, Allyson (Sean) Flynn, Lauren and Brittany Branham of Mo.; great-grandchildren McKenzie and Maison Branham, Jack Haub and Ella Flynn of Mo.; brothers Harry Branham of Haines City, Fl., Danny Branham of South Rockwood, Mich; sisters Brenda Bleyaert of Carleton, Faye (Frank) Lowe, Monroe, Margaret (Ron) Baltzer of Newport, Vivian (Bob) Pluff of Adrian; step-brother Robert (Carol) Reynolds of North Carolina; step-sister Mary Passerman of Okla.; brother-in-law Allen (Lori) Boike of Cleveland, Kenny Boike of Southgate.
He leaves many nephews and nieces whom he loved to tease.
His passing was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, stepbrothers Ronald and Stanley Reynolds, step-sister Jean Reynolds, sister-in-law Cecelia Branham, brothers-in-law Mark Bleyaert and Howard Boike.

As per his wishes cremation was entrusted to the Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, Cocoa, Fla.
