Not sure what to say?

I was sadden to hear that George had passed away, but also know that he is finally with his loved ones. He was so determined to see his Mother again one day. George's Faith was an inspiration to me, and I will always remember how he shared his knowledge and devotion to his God. It made me want to be a better Catholic/Christian. He would walk in the hot days of summer, and the cold & rainy days of winter to go to Adoration Chapel to pray for an hours. A true man of God. Devoted, and loving to his family. I miss him, & was privileged to have known him. May he rest in peace.

George Lemus was a most memorable professor. I took his Mexican Literature (Spanish 106A) class the fall semester of 1968-69 at San Diego State College. In addition to the assigned readings, we were also required to read two additional works from a list that he provided us. Upon completion of the two works, we met with Professor Lemus individually in his office to give oral reports. It was an informal and non-threatening situation. We got to know each other as more than just teacher and student. Professor Lemus had great insight and enthusiasm for literature and life. I enjoyed his sincerity and low key approach. Years later I visited Blessed Sacrament Church on a Sunday morning and recognized him as one of the Eucharistic ministers. After mass I took the opportunity to thank him for his strong influence on me.

Didn't know this gentleman but know that he was the father of a very special lady, his daughter, Aggie. Have heard a lot about Mr. Lemus...he must have been a very special man himself. Prayers for the whole family at this time.
