He is survived by his wife, Gertie Pontz; and his children, David (Terri) Pontz, Debra (Larry) Sharp, Randy (Jeane) Pontz and Jeff (Shelly) Pontz; grandchildren, Johnell (Tom) Deline, Emberly (Randall) Babcock, Greg Hurdle, Lori Hurdle, Mandy (Kyle) Fitzgerald, Gerry (Macie Battle) Pontz, Jimmy (Lisa) Burch, Jill (Chris) Coon, Bryan (Bobbi) Pontz, Justin (Ginnie) Crabb and Ashley Crabb; great-grandchildren, Logan, Danica, Corbin, Allison, Parker, Jayden, Branden, Trevor, Alianna, Taytum, LJ, Mike (Bonny Scott) Burch, Kenny (Alison) Burch, Miranda (Mike) Moore, Camden, Cason, Bella, Boone and Emmitt.

A celebration of life for Gerry will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 19, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Reed City. Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, just prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gerry's favorite charity, Shriner's Hospitals for Children, or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
