I served with "Pappy" in Borden Ontario at the FFTC in the early 1980's. His demeanour and comradeship is one people never forget. A true friend and fire fighter. My deepest condolences to Vicky and their family. May you rest in peace Pappy.

The words come easy. Grant was one of the finest men I have had the privilege of knowing. I was a young airman and didn't get to know him in Moose Jaw in the early 70's when we were there at the same time, but that gave us a common start in 1999 when I did meet him in Chilliwack. Grant was a good friend, a wonderful supporter of the RCAF Association, and a man totally dedicated to helping guide Canada's youth in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet program. I miss him dearly. Jock McLaren, CD RCAF (Retired)

One of the great ones in our Fire Service. I served with Pappy in Moose Jaw and at the Fire Academy. Just a wonderful person to be around both on and off duty. There are 1000s of stories with all of us that had the pleasure to know him.
My condolences to Vickey and all family members. Rest in peace my friend and God Bless!

Grant, as I made my entry into a brand new, beautiful, fresh and bright fire department in Lahr Germany in 1990, the first person I encountered through those doors was you!! You greeted me and said... are you the new "Boniac" on my crew??? Up to this day I'm not quite sure what that meant. We had memorable times with you and Vickie while in Germany!! You will always be remembered!! Rest in peace my friend and we will definitely meet again one day!! Chimo Pap. Luc Pagé
