Spann Funeral Home - DicksonHarry Neil Canter, 86, of Burns, Tennessee, entered into his eternal rest on October 30, 2025. A devoted follower of Christ, Harry was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Burns, where he faithfully served as the first treasurer. His life was marked by a sincere love for the Lord, a steadfast faith, and a humble willingness to serve others.
Harry worked for Purity Dairy for many years, where he was known for his hard work, loyalty, and friendly nature.
Harry enjoyed the quiet joys and traditions of life. He was an avid golfer, loved camping trips, and never missed the chance to root for Vanderbilt Football. March Madness brought him great excitement each year, and he took delight in the spirit and energy of college basketball season.
Those who knew Harry will remember he had a way of making others feel welcomed and valued. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church community, and all who were blessed to know him.
Visitation: will be from 11 – 1 Wednesday November 5, 2025, at the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Burns, TN
Funeral Service: for Harry Neil Canter will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday November 5, 2025, from the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Burns, TN with Pastor Nathan Jensen officiating.
Interment: in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery
