On behalf of our family, thank you to everyone for you thoughts and kind words over the past couple of days. As a high school graduate who ran away from an abusive step father to join the Army at 17, he overcame great odds to live a full and successful life. He was a faithful husband of 61 years and a tireless provider for our family, putting both myself and my sister through college, and securing a comfortable retirement for he and my mother, all on his government earnings. He was a man of few words and much pride, with a heart too big to fit into his slight frame.
Thank you for joining us in celebrating his life.
