Harry WICKHAM Obituary

WICKHAM, Harry E. 96, of Floral City, FL, passed away on December 17, 2022. He was born to Harry E. Wickham and Edith Maude Robinson in March, 1926. He was married to the late Ione Moore Wickham for over 70 years. They had four children, Robert A. Wickham (Andrea), Tallahassee, William A. Wickham (Brenda), Tampa, Nancy E. Gibby (Gordon), Gainesville, and Sarah E. Rausch (Tom), Floral City. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Heather Kearney, Daniel Wickham, Joshua Wickham, Renee Wickham, Rebekah Wickham, Kaycee Mascio, Michael Gibby, Adam Wickham, Peter Gibby, and Matthew Gibby; and 16 great-grandchildren. Harry loved the Lord, his family, and his country. He was a friend and mentor to many through the years. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. He entered the Merchant Marines during WWII. He was grateful for the time he served as Ensign and Radio Operator, and for the opportunity to travel the world. He loved and believed in the principles on which this nation was founded. Following his service, he entered and graduated from the University of Florida (BS, accounting). He then worked for Maas Brothers department store for forty years, retiring as senior vice president of operations. Harry's faith in God was strong and absolute. Over the years, he actively served Baptist churches in Bayshore, Citrus Park, Buchanan, and Carrollwood (Tampa); Ridgecrest (NC); and Cornerstone (Inverness). Dad's personal message to his friends and family; "This is just the beginning, see you all in eternity. Thanks for a great trip!" Funeral services will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, on Monday, Jan. 2, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Florida Right to Life organization at https://frtl.org.
