Hiroshi Yamamoto Obituary

Hiroshi "Herb" Yamamoto
5/1/1921 - 2/5/2014
Hiroshi was born on May 1, 1921 in Sacramento, Calif and passed away at the age of 92 on February 5, 2014.
He is survived by: his daughter, Margaret and sons Stanley (Cheryl) and Victor (Kathy). He is grandfather to Tracy (Ken) Lin, Scott, Kelly (Darren) Hofstra, Ryan (Tera) and Trent (Janet) Yamamoto. Great-grandchildren include Kaitlynn, Morgan and Brett Yamamoto, Brandon, Zachary and Parker Lin and Mason Hofstra.
Interned in Gila River, Arizona during World War II, Hiroshi lived in the Auburn and Loomis communities for the past 61 years raising plums, pears and a variety of specialty Asian fruit at Mt. Vernon Ranch. His ready smile, down-to-earth personality and hard work made him a successful and respected rancher. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
A private Memorial Service will be held. Thank you to the staff of Sierra Ridge Memory Care for their compassionate care for the past year. Please sign the guestbook at www.chapelofthehills-auburn.com
