To her loved ones, I was sorry to hear of her passing. Although it has been over 50 years since I saw her I will always remember her kindness to me and her encouragement. I babysat for the children a few times and although I was an awkward 15 year old, when we would talk she would draw me out and try to instill confidence and tell me attributes that she saw in me that no one had ever mentionrd before. She gave me hope and courage to reach a little higher in my goals. Though it took awhile I never forgot her words to me. It met a lot. She was a wonderful lady and I wish our paths had crossed again so that I could have properly thanked her.

While in Newburgh, Nell was a great neighbor. We'd visit & really enjoy the time. Their house was decorated so pretty.
She sewed beautiful things. She'd help me on ideas on how to decorate our house. We had fun. God is holding you're had now Nell, & what a walk with Him you Will Love.

I am so sorry I can't be with all of you today. Nell was a warm, lovely woman
who always had her door wide open for our family. I remember her kitchen
always brimming with good food and conversation. Nell and Bob always
set a great example of what a good marriage should be. Their mutual
respect was outstanding. Just remember I love all of you. Rita Simpson

Bob, sending you and family condolences. Prayers of comfort and understanding for all. RIP Iva Nell. Bob, I took your Principles class in 1967. That set me off on a nearly 40 year career in banking. Most of them were with Citizens. You are a real gentleman. (((Hugs))) for you, my friend.

Uncle Bob and Robby & Robin,
Our sincere sorrow for your loss and hope that the visitation and memorial service for Nell are full of warm memories and an outpouring of celebration - she meant so much to all of us in the Simpson family.
From the time I was small and we would drive to Evansville for family get-togethers, her presence was a light. She saw the good in everyone, found the fun in every moment and when she told you that you were a pretty little girl, well, she surely made me believe every word! I always admired how she moved through the crowd - she didn't need to be the center of attention, but if there was a table full of laughter, you knew she was going to be sitting in the middle of it. She and Sis could go on telling stories of their childhood and pull the whole family in on the joke.
Please know that I am sending you all warm hugs and cousin kisses as you celebrate Nell's life and mourn her passing.
Love,
Kelley Simpson Doering & family
