Jackie Elam Obituary
EAST PEORIA - Jackie "Jack" Leroy Elam, 69, of East Peoria passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
He was born to Ferris "Bud" and Lillian (Chaney) Elam in Peoria, IL, on March 5, 1949. They preceded him in death.
Jack married his best friend and the love of his life, Donna Ring, on September 20, 1997, in East Peoria IL. She survives.
He was survived by his children, Scott (Christina) Elam and Lindsay Elam; grandchildren, Dylan and Riley Elam; brother, John (Lori) Elam; 9 nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Chris Ring-Walka; and three cats, DC, Tipie and Yellow Boy.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chuck Elam and Ferris "Butch" Elam.
Jack will not only be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend, but also as a proud United States Army veteran.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, IL. A funeral service will follow.

Jack was a good friend the first @ John Hensey sixth grade On to Washington High, then Caterpillar and the UAW. We bumped into each other many times over the years, sad to hear of his death. My sympathy to his family.
