Mr. James Nicholas Gregg, age 73, beloved husband to the late Ernestine Gregg, entered into rest on Friday October 31, 2025.
He is survived by his children, Jamie Gregory and Jessica Goldman; stepchildren, Frontice (Lisa) Cochran, Travis (Stephanie) Cochran, Joni Cochran; brother, Randy Gregg; sister, Terry (Donnie) Dooley; grandchildren, Joseph "Bookie" Loren, Bridget (Dalton) Mims, Daniel and Samantha Richardson, Ricky Cochran, Paige Loren, Casey Loren, R.J. Swilling and Olivia Swilling; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his parents, Jewitt and Hope Gregg; and sisters, Cathy and Cindy Gregg.
Mr. Gregg was a "home body". He enjoyed sitting on the porch, watching the traffic and listening to his scanner. He also enjoyed playing a little chess. Mr. Gregg proudly served our country in the United States Army. He will be missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 11AM in the chapel of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Davis officiating. The interment will follow at Langley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening November 3, 2025 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Ricky Cochran, Daniel Richardson, Dalton Mims, Zach Hitt, Frontice Cochran adn Casey Loren.
