Jane Tanner Harris, age 63, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia. She was born on September 19, 1962 in Reidsville, Georgia to Earl and Virginia Floyd Tanner and lived in Tattnall County most of her life.. She was employed with the Tattnall County Board of Education and she was a representative for Tattnall County 4-H. Her hobbies included fishing, reading, collecting antiques and tending to her flowers. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary W. Tanner.
She is survived by her son, Dustin R. Harris of Centreville, Virginia; sister Mary C. Tanner of Cobbtown; grandson, Eben Harris; her best friend, Catherine Merritt of Collins.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00am, Friday, November 7, 2025 at McIntosh Family Cemetery in Townsend, GA.
Pallbearers will be Austin Kirkland, Colby Kirkland, Brandon Bunch, Dylan Bunch, Gavin Groover, and Gage Groover.
