Joanie Lee Harris

A Memorial Service will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Friday, October 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Lonnie Harris officiating.

Joanie Lee (Tinsley) Harris was born to Raymond Jefferson and Avis Marie (Wood) Tinsley on January 20, 1956 in Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Wichita Falls on October 27, 2025 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 7 days.

Joanie grew up an Air Force kid but the family always called Devol, OK, home. She married Cleo Wayne Harris on January 1, 1972 in Burkburnett, TX. They made their home in Burkburnett until moving to Devol in 1977. She worked several years at Ameron in Burkburnett along with raising her kids, and spending lots of time with her grandkids.

Joanie enjoyed fishing and going to the lake. She loved watching high school sports and keeping up with everyone through social media.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Ray Tinsley; 2 brothers, Clyde Tinsley and an infant brother, Frankie Tinsley; and her son Ricky Lee Harris.

Survivors include her mother, Marie Tinsley of Devol; her husband, Wayne Harris of the home; 3 sons, Thomas Wayne Harris of South Texas, Billy Ray Harris of Devol, and Damian Kyle Harris of Devol; a brother, Tom Tinsley of Devol; a sister, Judy Bonds of Devol; 4 grandchildren, Tysen Harris of Grandfield, Tiffany Jacks and Jesse of Grandfield, Josh Harris of Lawton, and Billy Wayne Harris of Grandfield; 2 great grandchildren, Jace Jacks and Jessa Jacks; other relatives and friends.
