John Vincent Obituary

Vincent, John
John Loyd Vincent was born April 17, 1919 in Whitewater, Colorado and died June 28th, 2015 in Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 19 years, Carrie Jane Vincent, his wife of 10 years, Francis, and his wife of 44 years, R. Lois Vincent, his sons, John Vincent and Jay Vincent, and his daughter Gloria Bywater, all of Phoenix. He is survived by his daughter Jeanette Stroessenreuther of Phoenix, step-daughters Barbara Clarke and Pamela Borrelli, and his step-son, Steve Maynard. He has 13 grandchildren. John was raised on a large cattle ranch in western Colorado and moved to Phoenix in 1942 where he founded John Vincent Tire Company in South Phoenix. After retiring from business he traveled and raised and trained race horses. He enjoyed sports, gardening, and fishing. John was a bold witness for Christ and enjoyed sharing his faith with others. A memorial service will be held July 18th, 2015 at the Union Hills Church of Christ, 3750 W. Union Hills Avenue, Phoenix, AZ at 10:30 am. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix or Hospice of the Pines in Prescott, AZ.
