Not sure what to say?

Pastor Bill and Family,

My heart is saddened by the Homegoing of Joy. Our loss is Heaven gain. I loved that lady very much. She was always there for me at First Baptist Church of Aston with smiles, hugs and prayers. My prayers are with you and your family. May God bless you all.

Dear Dougherty Family,
My heart was saddened by the news of Miss Joy's passing. I was privileged and blessed to meet her during my years at First Baptist Church in Aston, Pa. My fondest memory of her was during one of our ladie's retreats and her and Tami presented a wonderful lesson that day where her daughter shot the fiery darts of the devil at her. Just this past summer I used that scenario to show a group of children at the Salvation Army in Annapolis, MD their need to put on...

Dear Dougherty family,

Miss Joy meant so much to me. I did not know her for a long time but she was ALWAYS there for me. She was a true picture of a pastor's wife. I know now she has met my daddy & sister that have gone on before me & they suffer no more. I love y'all & thank God for you.

Thank God for Miss Joy. I'm so sorry that you and she suffered such pain recently. May the Lord make his presence known to you (all of you) in very special ways over the the next few days and weeks. You are in our prayers. Steve, Valerie, Josiah and Imani Piercey

Brother Dougherty,

My family and I thank God for Joy and you. I cherish the memories of you as my Youth Pastor at Beaver Street Baptist Church. Joy was such a beautiful and giving person. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Love in Christ,

Nancy Herring Turner

It's never easy to say good-bye but praise God we have our hope in Him and we can be comforted knowing that one day we will see our loved ones again. My mom thought the world of Miss Joy (as we all did) and although I truly feel your heartache, I couldn't help but smile when I pictured my mom (Gloria) and Miss. Joy worshiping at the feet of Jesus. Your family is on my mind and in my prayers.
