To the Zacchio Family,
I am sorry for your loss; though I didn't know Julia, I did know what "family" meant to her grandsons who work/worked at The Hartford.
My deepest sympathies,
Mary Hannon

Dom & Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I don’t think we are ever ready to lose a parent, no matter how old they (or we!) are – it’s still our “mom”. I have a pizza in my freezer that my Italian mom made that I still can’t bring myself to eat or throw away. It sounds as if your mother was one of the great ones - so hang on to those old jars of green beans!

Julia Marie was the matriarch of a great Italian family. I had the pleasure of walking through the Wethersfield Project reunion with her, when she was a mere 90. What a delightful woman. I will cherish her memory.

Mrs Zacchio was a much loved neighbor many years ago in Wethersfield. She was always in the kitchen cooking up wonderful meals from her husband's spectacular garden. I was fortunate to see her again exactly five years ago when neighbor children, now adults, met for a reunion. Julia looked as young as ever. Farewell to an amazing woman.
