Luz Celeste Rojas, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on March 31, 1947, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Lucy was the beloved mother of her daughter, Diana, and Diana’s husband, Uly. She was the cherished Awita to her two grandchildren, Hani and Hana, who adored her deeply. As well as a loved sister to her siblings, aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many.
Lucy had a special love for babies and kids, and spent many years caring for children as a nanny. She found joy in being by the water, sharing time and laughter with her family, and enjoying her favorite sweets. She was strong, sweet, generous, humble, and endlessly caring. Lucy welcomed everyone with open arms and loved wholeheartedly and without conditions.
Her light shined everywhere she went—her smile and laughter brought warmth and happiness to all around her. Her light will continue to shine forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Saturday, October 25, at her daughter’s home. All who loved her are welcome.
