MARCUS 'MARK" NEWTON ALMON, 74, born March 24, 1936 and entered into eternal rest August 31, 2010.Mark loved God, family, and his work. After serving in the US Air Force, Mark worked for National Supply, General Electric, and Wells Machine, and then began his own business, Compressor Pump and Engine in Casper, Wyoming. National Supply purchased CP&E in 1978, and Mark was again in their employ. In 1979, Mark moved to Northern Ireland where he opened a Well Control Valve Manufacturing Facility. He spent two years building that branch of National Supply and then returned to the Houston Area to lead the Mobile Rigs Project for National Supply. In 1984, Mark repurchased CP&E from National Supply and returned to Wyoming. In 1997, Mark sold CP&E to Kinder Morgan. After a brief retirement, he purchased Hyper Products and Mark continued his career as a Project Manager. During this time, Mark opened two facilities for Cook in Colorado.Mark returned to the Houston Area in January 2010 with hopes of finding new locations for Cook. Marc gave us the opportunity to have a better life during Dick's working years (even mine for a bit too)--may you all find comfort and strength during this time----Our son Scott said Marc gave him the best opportunities to better and discover a belief in himself by bringing him to Casper's shop and it is so true--We're thankful for his life Marc helped to make possible---Dick and Bonnie Mayes

Mark took a chance on me 17 years ago in the gas compression industry at CP&E in Casper Wyoming. He started me on a path to a great career. At CP&E I met Linda Skinner who introduced me to the love of my life (her daughter Sheila). Through Linda I gained the utmost respect and admiration for Mark and Maureen as they stood beside Linda (as if she was family) during a divorce and a battle with cancer. I want to thank Mark and Maureen for everything they have done for my family. My condolences first and foremost go out to Maureen. My sympathies go out to the rest of Marks family and friends.
