Will always remember his last words to me, "I know I will see you again".

Although I only knew Bud for a short period of time, it was a lifetime of friendship. Bud was truly a man after God's own heart. My life has been forever richly blessed, I thank God for crossing our paths. He and Kathy will remain in my heart forever. I love you both, and until we meet again.....

Although I knew Bud for just a short period of time, it was a lifetime of friendship that he bestowed upon my husband and I. Bud was truly a man after God's own heart. My life has been richly blessed by knowing him. I thank God for crossing our paths. He will forever remain in my heart. I love you Bud, until we see each other again...

From the time that Troy introduced me to this wonderful man I never felt like I was just a girlfriend. He always made feel like family and loved us with all of his heart. We will miss you pop pop!!!

Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss. Mr. Ellis, and his cooking, were deeply appreciated by my father, the late Maj. A.J. O'Neill, former director of Poplar Hill Pre-Release. Dad was known to skip dinner on more than one occasion, because of having second helpings of Mr. Ellis's lunchtime creations at PHPRU! I'm sure the void left in your family is immense, but please try to find some comfort in knowing that Mr. Ellis will be remembered by hundreds of people in the community. ...

It was awesome being Bud's pastor for a year and a half. My wife and I loved his heart for people in need. He is with Jesus because he accepted Jesus' full payment for his sin and he served Jesus out of thankfulness for his salvation.

I thought the world of "Pop Pop". He was a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
