Robbie, I'm sorry for the loss of your brother. I know its never easy to let go, even if the time is right.

Everyone who knew Martin understood that he was filled with a giving and generous spirit. Even during his long struggle with health issues, he made time to give back to the community. The Villa Place Community Garden on Grace St. in Rocky Mount, which he designed and maintained as a volunteer, stands as a permanent testimony to his good works. I am grateful to have known Martin, and he will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry for the family's loss. I am a cousin of Martin, though we were not close. Last year at the family reunion, I had the opportunity to spend a little time with him. This turned out to be a nice experience and I was looking forward to seeing him this year. My thoughts are with you. Lib
