Dear Mike, thank you for being a kind, funny and loving person. Your courage and steadfastness throughout your 18 year battle with brain cancer was amazing. The grace with which you navigated life considering all that you had to overcome was inspiring. You touched many lives we are all very thankful to have known you . Rest in peace dear one, you will be missed!

Had the pleasure of meeting & being with Mike for many family Birthdays for my daughter-in-law & grandchildren. He was the sweetest & most gentle soul. God must have needed another angel in heaven & He surely has one in Mike.

Over 45 years ago, I met Mike working at McDonald´s. He became one of my best friends and helped me through the toughest times of my life. He was a true friend who really helped me get my life back together. We later played softball together for several years. Mike was a great athlete and one of the funniest and caring people I´ve ever met. He lit up everyone´s life and I will miss him.

I met Mike, or Thumper that we named him, working at McDonalds in the 70's and we became best buds instantly. He missed his calling as a comedian being funny all the time, he rarely took anything seriously and always had you laughing with him. He was a great athlete running cross country, playing ice hockey and a great hitting shortstop in the 16" softball leagues. He was a gentle, kind soul that loved kids and they'd love him right back, this world needs more Mike Reiters and I'll miss him...

We are the parents of Nichol. She and Crotan have lived next door to Mike for several years and during our visits we got to know him. He brightened our stay with his big smile and lovely spirit. We shared in his love for the Black Hawks. We watched Mike make snow angels with our grandkids and now that he has left this earth , he is a real angel in heaven. Our deepest sympathy to those he left behind. He will be so very missed.. Until we see you again, may you Rest In Peace dear friend.
