Nancy Lennard Obituary

Nancy Breckenridge (Lee) Lennard
1938-2017
Nancy Breckenridge (Lee) Lennard, born January 8, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri, passed away on July 16, 2017 in Houston, Texas.
Nancy graduated from Southern Methodist University, Phi Beta Kappa. She worked for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in accounting and bookkeeping. She was a longtime member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, Houston where her husband served as Rector, and more recently has been a member of Christ Church Cathedral, Houston. Nancy loved and cared deeply for her family and holds a special place in her grandchildren's hearts for the time she invested in them. She enjoyed reading, the symphony, traveling, and, in addition to her immediate family, her many wonderful cousins, extended family members, and friends. She especially enjoyed the times with her close friends at St. D's Street of Shoppes.
Nancy is the daughter of Colonel Alfred King Lee and Mrs. Mary Margaret (Hamilton) Lee. She is predeceased by The Reverend Clark Gardiner Lennard, husband; and Jonathan King Lennard, son. She is survived by her daughter Laura Margaret (Lennard) Addison and husband James Sheldon Addison; granddaughter Melanie Jane (Addison) Bell and husband David, and their daughter Norah Jane; granddaughter Sarah Margaret (Addison) Sebesta and husband James, and their daughters Addelie Breck and Bryn Grace. She is survived by her son Lee Clark Lennard and wife Kate Marie (Zimmerman) Lennard; and grandsons Scott, Adam, Brian, Michael, James, and Alex Lennard. Nancy is predeceased by her sister, Margaret Ruth (Peggy Lee) Boltz, survived by Peggy's husband Harry Walter Boltz and Anne Boltz, and nieces Sue (Boltz) Murphy, Jennifer Boltz, and Nancy (Boltz) Gould and their families. She is survived by her brother-in-law Dr. Edwin Stanley Lennard, his wife Judy, children Mary and Christopher, and granddaughter Laura.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, at 2:00 pm at Christ Church Cathedral, 1117 Texas Avenue, Houston, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths, beyond tracing out! "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?" "Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?" For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
