HAWTHORNE, Sr, Nathaniel
SFC U.S. Army, Retired
Born Feb. 28, 1934, in Emporia, VA, passed away in Carmichael, CA Sept. 28, 2012. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing three children: Edward (Gigliola), Sharon (Larry Sr.) and Nathaniel Jr. (Martha); grandchildren, Camilla, Larry Jr., Tracy, Jamee, Kelsea, DeMarco; great-grandchildren, Aniyah and Jamarcus; his sister, Cherry Anderson; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hawthorne. Friends are welcome for visitation Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento and are invited to attend Funeral Services Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at New Home Missionary Baptist Church, 6612 Woodbine Ave., Sacramento. Funeral Services and burial with full Military Honors will be conducted in Emporia, Virginia. Remembrances in his memory to VFW Post 85, 7215 Lindale Dr., Sacramento, CA 95828.

To my dad, you were the love of my life. You were always there for me when I needed you, being your only daughter I have always known I was also special in your life as well. I think about you every moment even though I can't see you. I feel very blessed to have been with you on your last days and I can't wait to see you and mom when I come home.
