Not sure what to say?

Pete I am so sorry I didn't know. I pray for your family to have peace and I am thankful for knowing you.

Hi boys,
.....this a cousin of your dad. My Name is Dee DiVenere, who visited your family overnight when you were both little boys... followed by a great walk and talk with your father on myrtle beach the next day, many years ago. His middle name of Louis , well, he was named after my dad, the youngest DiVenere brother, another wonderful man.
I sent him pics of himself taken over the years. I am yet, another keeper of family memories and inherited items.

Peter, Evelyn an Ane,

So sorry to learn of the sad news this morning. I know you will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. May the many wonderful times you had with your Dad sustain you through your sadness.
With love and affection,
Carole and Bob Gumbert

Ane and family - It was such sad news to learn of Pete's passing from John Breeden. He was a hero to all who knew him and I wish we had seen mire of him since Carolina days. May The Lord wrap you in the comfort of his arms in your great loss.

Great friend, great athlete, it was fun growing up around you and your family, see you in the end zone.

We are so sorry for the passing of your father. I know he was quite a character. Our prayers are with your family.

Arthur and I met Ane and Peter at Fort Bragg NC when they became our neighbors and life long friends. We had lots of laughs and had our first babies while we were sharing the duplex on post.
The DiVeneres were East Coast and we were Deep South which led to many conversations about our
family traditions! Ane was preparing lasagna and looking for cannolis for dessert, while I was preparing roast, rice and gravy with butter beans and cornbread. We learned a lot from each other

If you met Pete you loved him and he loved you more!! Heaven took home a wonderful kind soul.
