Rhonda DeJarnatt Obituary
Rhonda was born in Memphis, TN to the late Padgett Westerfield and Clella Westerfield-White. She was raised in Malvern, AR with her two surviving sisters, Sharlene Tullos and Aria Mashburn and graduated from Malvern High School.
On November 25, 1967 Rhonda married the love of her life, Gary DeJarnatt. She fulfilled her greatest desire, to be a Mom, starting with Matthew DeJarnatt , Anthony DeJarnatt , Julie DeJarnatt-Love and Andrew DeJarnatt. She was blessed with 7 grandsons, Drew, Blake, Matt, Jett, Aaron, Jace and John.
Rhonda was so creative, from beautiful story-telling, painting & coloring, to decorating people's homes. The underlying theme of her life was her faith in Jesus. She was gifted in sharing, teaching, praying, discipleship & evangelism.
Rhonda would like for you to know she has fought the good fight. She has finished the course. She has kept the faith. She rejoices now with Jesus and eagerly awaits the reunion of her family & loved ones.
Celebration of Rhonda's Life will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home, in Little Rock, AR on Thursday, February 22, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral home in Fort Smith.

Dear Julie, Gary and all of the family,
We are all better for having known Rhonda and we are lifting you in prayer. Thankfully we know she is with Jesus and so healthy and happy --but of course her physical presence is missed terribly. I will continue to pray for you all in the coming days. This is a process and God will go with you all every step of the way.
Again it was a privilege for me to have known Rhonda and what a godly heritage in y'all she has left behind.
May the grace, presence, and love of the Lord strengthen and encourage each one of you.

Rhonda was a very special person. She had the God given ability to make everyone she came in contact with feel better just by being around her.
She was also the mother of our beautiful daughter in law Julie.
We shared the honor of grand parenting our grand children Jett and Jace. We know they will miss their "grammy" forever, but thankful they knew her.
We can't wait to see how she has decorated heaven in anticipation of our home coming.

We were so saddened to hear about Rhonda. I can remember the good times and her wonderful smile that would make you feel so comfortable. I wanted my beautiful girl from Texas to meet both of you because being around ya'll helped me in my decision to get married. During this time of "footprints in the sand" for you and your family, know that HE is there to comfort and to let you know she is just fine.
All of you take time to look around at each other - children and grandchildren. Rhonda has left her love and memories in each of you. Here's to the good times. There's a beautiful new star shining in heaven.

Rhonda was one of the kindest and most unselfish people I have ever known. Her humor and optimism could brighten anyone's day. I loved her.
Only here on earth do we feel the sorrow and sting of death. Today she is laughing and dancing with Jesus and the saints. We will see her one day.

I cannot count how many times Ms. Rhonda put a smile on my face when I was around her. Almost every time I traveled to Little Rock to visit my grandparents, I ended up seeing Rhonda and Gary as well. Even though I wasn't related to them by blood, to me they were another set of grandparents. Rhonda's playful and kind spirit was always so fun to be around. She will be so terribly missed.

Mrs. Rhonda was a sweet Christian lady who loved the Lord. She always had a smile on her face. Being from Texarkana, I had the privilege of meeting her and her family. I shared many laughs with her children, which wasn't hard to do since they were always having a good time. We attended the same church. To be around them you just felt good about yourself. Her family adored her and the love she felt for her family was evident in the way she glowed when they were around. Heaven received another angel. She was a blessing to me and those around her. My prayers go out to the family as they begin the process of healing... Love to you all.

Rhonda was an inspiration to me. She helped me to not take things too seriously, and to always laugh. She was a great friend, and I have such fond memories of her. I remember how Gary and Rhonda made each day special with each other, and their love for each other just glowed to anyone that was around. I know she is dancing and laughing with Jesus now. Rhonda was my rock during my divorce. I loved her like a sister. She was a woman of faith. She will be missed so much!
