I still can't believe my wonderful brother, Rick is gone. It's not fair, but life is that way. I will miss him dearly, and I will treasure the last 4 months of his life that God allowed us to have together, no matter how bitter sweet they were. He was a good and kind soul, and my comfort is knowing that we will be together again with our Heavenly Father. Rest in peace dear brother. You were just too beautiful for this world, and don't worry...

It's very difficult to accept that we won't see Rick again at Isla. He was such an intricate part of our wonderful experiences there over the past many years. We remember Rick's welcoming smile and appreciate his unfailing willingness to be helpful. Our boys loved to look out for Rick's golf cart and Nicholas especially enjoyed fishing with him. We will miss Rick very much but we are grateful to have known him. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

We will miss Ricky so much. It was always so delightful when he, Kandy & Bruce would come to Tn. to visit with his Dad. We always had a good time when they would come to see Granddaddy & Grandmama. He was such a cutie & a good person!!!!

Sincere condolences to the Burress family. I knew Rick since 2007. We shared fishing as the topic of the day always. I know how he enjoyed catching bait and fishing Tierra Verde out of his live well on the white truck. I regret that we never got to wet a line together. Again so sorry for the most untimely loss.

For the small amount of time that I knew Rick, he was always one to rely on and good-hearted. Rest in peace.

We moved into Casa II in 2002 and Rick seemed so young then. It's hard to believe he was with Casa so many years before that time. He made us feel welcome from our first day and always had that dazzling smile ready when I rushed by. There were just so many little things that Rick did that were special. I remember how excited he would be before the "snowbirds" came to town every year. Casa II had to be just perfect for their arrival, especially all the flowerbeds. And Rick would work hard...
