Not sure what to say?

Grandpa,I can't believe it's been almost 15 years,since you left this world. And went back to heavenly Father. You finally got to see granny again. And my beautiful wife Brenda passed away in November of 2018. You all are probably having a great time. I miss you everyday I love you so much love your oldest grandson Robert Ira Humphreys. Until we meet again. Save a place for me..

I missed the opportunity to meet him when he visited my Grandparents and Mother in the late 1950s or early 1960s. I'm the son of Charles J. Moses, the pilot of Bob's (as my father and mother knew him) B-17. His letters after the war and his visits were a great comfort to my family. I'm sure those visits must have been hard on him but they certainly showed his selflessness and that he continued to do what he felt was his duty long after the war. To the Humphreys Family;
I remember listening to Bob as he told about his experience during WWII. He was the last of three "Garfied POWS" to pass on. I enjoyed the company of these hero's as we sat down for breakfast in Lake Point, and listened as the group of "Romeo's" talked about the war and the old town of Garfield. He will be missed.
