David and I were so blessed to get to spend time with Ronnie while he was in Houston. Even when he was so ill, he would reach out his hand and squeeze with all his might in greeting. And when he could, would ask about those in McAllen, by writing or whisper. He had such a kind, sweet spirit and wiil be missed, but know he is now with so many he loves and is free of pain. God bless, Ronnie.

Years ago when I went through my divorce, Ronnie, a good friend of my folks helped me out with some furniture and a microwave he had in storage for the apartment I moved into. I had nothing and I was having a tough time back then. It was a selfless act of kindness that I've never forgotten. I was sad to learn if his passing. RIP Ronnie Cowgill. You were a good man and you will be missed.
