ROSAMOND A. "ROSE" JOHNSON

ROSAMOND A. "ROSE" JOHNSON, 89, of Markle, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. She was born on July 25, 1923 in Bluffton a daughter of the late Virgil A. and Meryl (Wilson) De- Armond. She worked as an office administrator for United R.E.M.C. She loved crocheting, her fruit trees, gardening, and especially her flowers. Surviving family include her son, Mike (Connie) Johnson of Uniondale; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three brothers, Bob DeArmond of Florida, Dick and Charlie DeArmond, both of Bluffton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Richard W. Johnson; son, Thomas Johnson; and sister, Wanda Tarr. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Berne.
