Roy McCard Obituary

ROY E. McCARD, 79, of Germantown, passed away June 13, 2007 at the Village of Germantown. He was Senior Systems Accountant for the U. S. Postal Service. He was a 2nd Lt in the 3rd Infantry Division in the U. S. Army, and was Captain of the Marching Band at North Georgia College, a military college. He was a charter member and active in the music ministry at Trinity Baptist Church, Cordova. He is survived by is wife of almost57 years, LaVerne McCardof Germantown; one daughter, Janis McCard of Winston Salem, NC; one son, Scott and his wife, Linda McCard of Memphis, TN. He also leaves two grandchildren, Lori D. Palmer of Winston Salem, NC, and Russell Palmer of Burlington,NJ. Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, from12-2 p.m. and services will be conducted at2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. Laverne, the service was beautiful, so much loved expressed. I enjoyed seeing Lori and Russell and Jan. Roy was so special and we will miss him. God bless you.
