Not sure what to say?

Lovely woman, great sense of humor, giving generous heart, a friend among friends. Truly my life was transformed the day we met.

Shirley was a fun, loving enthusiastic woman who helped the people around her be their best. Am glad to have shared some great moments with her!

Shirley was one-of-a-kind! I met her when we joined a Peace Group in Auburn to protest the Iraq war. I knew then we were kindred spirits. I later took Shirley's Memoir Writing course and drove her each week to her class where she enlightened and entertained us all with her infectious laughter and childlike spirit. Shirley often talked about her loyal husband and loving family. She cherished you all and left you with a most wonderful gift - her heartfelt writings and personal Memoir...

Shirley was an inspiration to me when I took her "Write Your Memoir" class in Auburn. I still write to this day because of her encouragement. I am deeply thankful for her help in getting my words to flow on paper. She will be greatly missed. Shirley, may your smile light up heaven.

To the family of Shirley Louis Marks Pooley, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you will miss her dearly. Please find comfort in knowing one day we will see our loved ones again. John 6:40. Matthew 5:5.

I'll always remember Shirley for her laughter. She was a wonderful, loving friend.

I have fond memories of Shirley when she lived in Auburn. She livened up our women's meeting on Monday nights with her humor and insights.

Shirley was a dear friend. I will always remember her joy of life and love of family. We had great visits together, which I will cherish.

So sorry to hear of your mother passing. No words can ever express the loss of a dear loved one. It's time like these when the loving promises of our heavenly Father can baring us comfort and can soften some of the pain we feel in our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 4:13,14)
