Not sure what to say?

I have many fond memories of Mr. Mersand's Social Studies class at Carmel High School in 1985-86. The time he invited the late Ms. Andruk to give a slide show of her trip to the pyramids of Egypt was a highlight. The fact that the Dutchess county flags were lowered in his honor is very appropriate. RIP.

Four years ago today, Stan hosted friends and I to tour his museum. I was thinking of him and wondered how he was. And learned of his demise. So very sorry. What a good man he was, so generous in sharing education and enlightenment. My deepest condolences.

Dear Chris, Rebecca and Michael, How fortunate we are to have known Stan. he leaves a wonderful legacy from serving his country, to teaching countless children, to serving his community , to being a devoted family man. he was so smart and so funny and was never afraid to speak his mind and always had the courage of his convictions. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

To the Mersand family,
May you find peace and comfort in all his shared memories. It was a pleasure to have him as a teacher, and quite a joy
when he needed repairs or parts at Bill Reynolds Garage. He will not be forgotten.
May he Rest in Peace

I was so sorry to hear of Stan's passing. I knew him from when I worked at The Sharon Playhouse. He was a long time patron and a wonderful person. I did look forward to seeing him each season and he was one of the people I knew I would miss when I moved away. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Loss of a True patriot. Stan was one of a kind and will be missed by all of us at the Stewart family and DS Electric. His loyalty to family, friends and country was unmatched and will leave a hole in the world and my heart. My deepest and heart felt condolences to Christine, Michael and the entire Mersand family. God Bless and Semper Fi my friend.

Christine, Rebecca and Michael: I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Stan was such a vibrant, caring person. He always filled up a room with his presence and spirit. Stan was a real force to reckon with and we miss his smile and his laughter. I know that my few words will not ease the pain of your loss, but I hope you can enjoy some small solace knowing that he touched so many peoples lives in a positive way. "..until you meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand."

We are saddened to learn of your loss. We have many happy memories from Carmel, as well as our shared interest in Dutchess County history. Stan influenced many lives and we are happy to be among them.

Dear Mersand Family: so sorry to hear of your loss. Stan and I taught for many years at Carmel High. I will fondly remember our time at flea markets, bidding on E-Bay, and lunches together . May God Bless you all. Mark Jennette
