Teddy Allen Obituary

Teddy Allen

Greenville

Teddy D. Allen, 79, lost her battle with cancer and passed away at her home on March 3, 2015.

She was a native of Greenville where she attended Carolina High School and North Greenville University. Teddy began her career at Bellsouth as an operator and retired after more than 30 years as a manager in the headquarters organization.

Teddy will be remembered as an elegant lady, always with a warm smile and a generous heart. She loved her home and homemaking, especially decorating and gardening. She also enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge and simply being with her family. Most important was her faith in Christ and her dedication to Fellowship Bible Church, where she was a long-time active member.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years Bill Allen; her sons John DeCarlis and wife, Kim, of Menlo Park, CA; and David DeCarlis and wife, Tiffany of Greenville; her sister Dottie Ayers of Greenville and her brother Doyle Dyer and his wife, Francine of Easley, SC.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Mackey Mortuary on Saturday, March 7, 2015, with Pastor Chuck Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the mortuary.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.

Teddy was deeply dedicated to the teaching ministry of her church. In lieu of flowers, her family respectfully asks that donations be made in her honor to Fellowship Bible Church at 115 Buist Avenue, Greenville, SC 29609.
