I have so many treasured memories of Tom but I’m a romantic and I live where the most mundane things are exciting and new.

This past summer Tom generously gifted me a brown crinkly bag filled with fresh, cleaned, corn on the Cobb. He excitedly verbalized instructions on how to get the optimal flavor from cooking them. I failed him by not following them strictly, I could tell by the slow deflated reply when I told him that I just didn’t get to it yet. You see, I didn’t realize time...

Having the honor of knowing Tom at MSU--our young days and in Greensboro, NC for the airport move--was always fun. Tom, serious as he was about other people, cared deeply that others were in a good place. He was one of our team members--Fisher, Parker, Donakowski, Fletcher and the others on the third floor at Butterfield Hall. We went to Florida, he in his little red TR7(?).
