Thomas Edwin Morris

Tom and I bonded over books - his love for reading and mine for writing. Tom was the first in my family to read my first novel, which was published a year after he passed away.

We grew close in the last six months of his life. We wrote each other often, regaling each other with stories of past lovers, future plans, and all of life's challenges.

I grew up with Tommy, he was my uncle, but we were only 18 months apart in age. We spent countless hours just being kids. I still remember the many weekends my mom and dad would bring my sister and I to my grandmas house. It was a long time ago. We will miss you Tommy.

Tom was a wonderful person who enriched so many lives. Not only was he a friend, he was family to us.
