TOY MCCRARY Obituary

Hernando - Toy Ingram McCrary, died on August 23, 2015. An optician for Lens-crafters, Mr. McCrary was a member of Central Church in Collierville, and the Masonic Lodge #118 and Al Chymia Shrine Temple. The most defining and rewarding moments of his life were the times he was able to drive the children to any of the Shrine Hospitals. The family will gather to share stories and refreshments in the Life Remembrance Center on Tuesday, August 25 from five o’clock in the evening until Masonic Services begin at half past seven and funeral services will be in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 26 beginning at two o’clock in the afternoon, all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. Mr. McCrary is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Albright McCrary; son, Tim (Wendy) McCrary of Arlington, TN; sister, Charlene Meadow of Conway, AR; grandchildren, Timothy McCrary, II, Alexzandrea McCrary, Hunter McCrary, Tyler James and Ryan James; and two great-grandchildren, Jessi Oaks and Wyatt McCrary. Memorials may be given to the Hospital Transportation fund of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple. Online condolences and floral gifts may be sent through www.memphisfuneralhome.net (901)725-0100

Jane, I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Toy at Lenscrafters. I just heard the news today. I remember he would always give me circus tickets and whenever I saw him, he would always ask me, "what cha know?" He will be dearly missed. My prayers for you and your family.

Jane....so sorry to hear about Toy....he brings back such fond memories of my trips to Memphis and your trips to Atlanta! Aunt Jane and family, So sorry to hear of Uncle Toy's passing. I have fond memories of the time you visited Massachusetts when I was young, as well as our visits to Memphis to see my Southern family when I brought my family that way to see my folks.
