Trudy McCalister

Trudy passed away peacefully with her husband at her side at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years D.C. "Mac" McCalister, children Albert (Linda) Plank, Donna (Grant) Stephens, Candy (Ron) Davis, Teri (David) Boudreau, and Wayne Plank. Stepchildren: Crystal Jackson, and Anna (Bill) Skewes, 25 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
She was born in Tampa Fla. and her early years were spent in Florida. Most of the rest of her life was spent in the greater Sacramento area, especially Auburn. She was a professional hairdresser for 30 years in Auburn and owned several salons. She was active in the Auburn and Colfax Wards of the LDS church, Auburn Soroptimist and Auburn Valley Country Club.
Trudy loved her family and was an outstanding mother in raising her kids. She and Mac retired to Florida in 1999 moving back to Alta, Calif. in 2012. She developed many friends on both coasts and everywhere in between. We will all miss her captivating smile and genuine feeling of goodness when she was around.
A memorial service will be held on March 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ LDS, 1255 Bell Rd. Auburn, Calif. 95603.
In lieu of flowers, Please donate to the charity of your choice in her name.

Mac and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Trudy's passing. Trudy and Mac were the most wonderful neighbors a person could be lucky enough to have. Trudy was always so very thoughtful and sweet. My heart felt wishes go out to Mac, I was honored to witness the great love they shared.

What a beautiful picture, this is the way I will remember Trudy, smiling and Happy and so in love with my Dad, Mac. Trudy truly put her heart and soul into her marriage and she so loved all of her family and God. I know she is finally free of her physical pain and suffering, and I also know she would want us all to be supportive of one another and especially of her husband as we all mourn her passing.
