VIRGINIA "GINNY" DiFILIPPO

VIRGINIA "GINNY" DiFILIPPO, 64, passed away on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at Signature Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Virginia worked as a Dietary Manager with various nursing homes for 35 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a former member of the Dietary Managers Association. Surviving are her brothers, John E. (Karla) DiFilippo, Joe V. (Connie Mae) DiFilippo and Don A. (Cheryl) DiFilippo; sisters, Connie M. DiFilippo, Margie A. Diehl, Rita M. (Clint) Lightner, and Mary R. (Bob) Bloom, all of Fort Wayne; 12 nieces and nephews; and six grand nieces and grand nephews meant the world to her. "She enjoyed spending time with them and celebrating all the holidays with the family." She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald T. and Frances C. (Minick) DiFilippo. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
