William "Bill" T. Bard, 94, of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born September 23, 1931, in Cairo, Illinois, to Harold B. and May (Sanders) Bard. He was a graduate of Cairo High School and St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

During the Korean War Era, Bill honorably served in the U.S. Marines. In the 1950's, he moved to Cape Girardeau and worked as a pharmacist for many years. He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include his children, Jeff Bard and Michelle Slinkard, both of Cape Girardeau; stepchildren, Cindy Ingram of Cape Girardeau, and Rusty Nelson of Millersville, Missouri.; grandchildren, Amy Slinkard, Matt Slinkard, Andrew Bard, Dustin Ingram, and Danielle Fisher, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Bard; a sister, Dorothy Hightower; and his parents.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2025, and from 10 a.m. to service time, Thursday, October 23, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Rev. Mark Anderson will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Illinois.

If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests Lynwood Baptist Church or the donor's choice of church or charity.
